Stand Up For Your Ministers PM Harper!

The media is trying to run the government, so far, PM Harper hasn't bought into their hysterics. I don't think he should now either.

Nearly half of Canadians think the Harper government lacks a clear agenda, a new poll suggests.

Or, nearly half of Canadians aren't even thinking about politics at this time of the year. I know, I'm not that interested right now, and I'm a political junkie!

The poll also indicated that only 36 per cent of respondents felt Prime Minister Stephen Harper needs to shuffle his cabinet - something sources say he is set to do next week.

Of those who did favour a shuffle, 11 per cent suggested a new environment minister is needed, nine per cent wanted a new face at defence, eight per cent suggested a new face at health, and six per cent want a new finance minister.

What this clearly indicates is that the media campaign against certain Ministers, isn't working. Only 36% thinks a shuffle is necessary, that means that 64% want NO shuffle, meaning that most people are happy with the Ministers! Of those 36% only 9% want a new defence Minister.......shouldn't that be like 80% want a new defence Minister, given how the media and opposition have been pounding on him? Yet 11% want a new environment Minister? Hold it, don't they know that there is a new environment Minister? Hasn't the media hammered on Gordon O'Connor as defence Minister, for close to a year, are people not listening to the media and the opposition parties? Don't people know that they should want a new defence Minister, not a new environment Minister? Get with the program people.

Here's my advice to PM Harper, leave O'Connor where he is, as a matter of fact, don't shuffle anyone, let them learn their portfolios, they will be more effective that way.

O'Connor is doing a better job than any defence Minister previously, he's tough, and doesn't take any BS from anyone, I love when the opposition asks some long contrived question, and he just gets up and says NO, and sits back down. He's what we need at defence right now.

PM Harper, don't get sucked into doing what the media wants, they will only gloat, and gain more power if you listen to them and the opposition. It's time to stand up for your Ministers, and against the opposition and media.

My thoughts exactly! Actually I'm waiting to see mudpie in the face of the media. They are continually trying to tell the PMO how to run the show.Very tiresome.
There really needs to be better response from the 'communications' people in the PMO...MSM gets away with far too much.
