Conservative Women, Tougher and Smarter

Big Globe and Mail article on the Cabinet shuffle, all about females.

As Prime Minister Stephen Harper prepares for a cabinet shuffle next week, he faces a gender-balancing challenge: Two jobs at risk belong to women and his party already suffers a gender gap with voters.

What ever happened to the most qualified gets the job? In a lefty world, the single Mom of two kids, who is in a wheelchair, and is an immigrant, should get whatever job she applies for, even if she isn't qualified for it.

Why don't more females try to be MP's? BIG one; you have to leave your babies for Ottawa. My babies are 14 and 11, I still would not leave them for weeks, sorry, they need their Mom, everyday, not just on weekends.

Liberals constantly spew the line about females not voting Conservative, I bet lots of them voted Conservative last election because of the $100 a month for each child under 6.

Let's look at two female politicians, Debra Grey and Belinda Stronach. I was at a rally recently for PM Harper, Debra Grey was there, she got lots of cheers, people still love her, she is one tough cookie. Standing waiting for PM Harper to appear, I started talking to a lady with a walker, this was another tough lady, had her babies at home with no help, bought the home while her husband was working.

So, let's compare Grey to Stronach. Debra fought hard and won the first Reform seat.
Grey was appointed interim leader of the Alliance and Leader of the Opposition. She was the first female Leader of the Opposition in Canadian history. Funny how the Conservatives have had the first female PM and the first female Leader of the Opposition, but supposedly females don't support the party.

Then there is Belinda, as a Conservative, I don't want to disrespect her, but as a female, I personally think she is an example of what females should not be, ever. She is the perfect example of how females are promoted for who they are, not what they can do. Money bought Belinda's spot as a MP, and later as a Minister, but where is she now, she QUIT, ran back to Daddy.

Belinda, more than even Hedy Fry, gave female MP's a bad name. She is a shining example of why females don't vote for other females.

So, in a battle between Debra and Belinda, my hard earned money would be on Debra, she did more to advance female politicians in Canada than Belinda could ever hope to do.

True Conservative women are stronger, smarter and way less wishy washy. We know our own minds, we do not have to be told by anyone how to think.

Conservative women, tougher and smarter.
