G20 Leaders Respect PM Harper!

Amazing how PM Harper misses a photo-op and the G20 leaders quickly arrange a new one. It made international news, and had President Obama shaking PM Harper's hand.

Nice to see a bit of fun was had and all to the benefit of Canada. PM Harper did an excellent job of representing Canada. It is a real feather in our caps that the recommendations that Canada and India put forward were accepted by the G20. Not that the Canadian media noticed it. What silly sniveling babies. They thought showing PM Harper in a bad light by missing the photo-op they would score points at home, turns out most Canadians could care less, they have mostly tuned the media out, that's why the MSM revenues are dropping.

Harper misses G20 group photo, gets 2nd chance

Forget the economy, the big question Thursday at the G20 summit is: Where was Prime Minister Stephen Harper for the group photo?

Was he really, as he claims, being briefed by his officials on the draft G20 communique?

Or was he de-briefing himself "in the loo?" as first reported by the BBC.

Because Harper missed the group picture, the whole routine had to be restaged about an hour later.

The poor Canadian MSM, they had to make a huge story out of a missed photo-op. Read the comments, most posters tell the MSM to grow up.

What could have been an interesting story would have been what Laureen and the kids were up to. What a great story that would have made. Nope, the media sat back and whined about how they were getting no interviews with PM Harper, so they sat in the corner sucking their thumbs. The liberal loving media are just like Iggy, it's all about me, me, me. If they have to make Canada look bad on the international stage to make PM Harper look bad, they will do everything they can to make it so, they hate Conservatives that much.

Too bad this whole episode actually made PM Harper look more human, not like the robot they try to portray. Too bad President Obama (their idol) made a point of acknowledging PM Harper's presence at the second photo-op, arranged especially because PM Harper had been missed. Too bad the lefty media made themselves look like fools by disrespecting our Prime Minister.

Too bad for lefties that is, they are the ones left looking like fools.

Your spin cycle is on high baby! Dear Leader was in the loo fixing his helmet hair.

Well I can tell that YOUV'E been reading and listening to the Canadian press, now haven't you.

Try to keep up SQ - that was proven to be a "bit of mischief" by the BBC,however, not ones to miss a chance to smear PM Harper, the CP jumped all over it as if it were gold.

So tell me SQ - are those the "tough" questions PM Harper was trying to "avoid" by not granting interviews to the CP? Was it smart of Bob Fife to use his time in front of the mike to ask the "loo" question? Did that make the CP look like they are on top of the job and ready to ask the serious questions?

Really SQ - the only ones full of it are the Canadian media for stooping to the gutter to try to bring a dark cloud over the shining example our Prime Minister is setting on the world stage.

I would say the little green monster is alive and well.

SQ - do you have actual proof that the PM was in the can? And, even if he was in the can - so what? We all go to the can so I don't know why the press would stoop so low as to make an issue of it. Good grief - do we not have bigger issues to discuss than if the PM goes to the can? Hey, I'll be even Obama goes once in a while.

The only "questions" that Dear Leader responds to are from Fox "News". Spends $11,000/hr on the jet to go to NY and Washington to get away from the Canadian media. I wish he would stop pissing away my taxes...but that's just me.

EofE -- I have pictures...not pretty...

The Canadian media is full of it- you can fill in what it is.
They've whined the PM has been avoiding them and their hardball questions. Like "do you love Canada." Or "if you were a vegetable, what vegetable would you be."

Here's at least 4 interviews the PM granted recently to Canadian media:
1. A 15-minute interview with CTV's Craig Oliver (still available online at the CTV QP site - March 29, 2009)

2. With CanWest's Sheldon Alberts while in Washington. Transcript available here:
http://tinyurl.com/csfo5a

3. With Global's Washington Bureau Chief Eric Sorensen. Unfortunately I can no longer find the link.

4. With CBC radio's London correspondent Susan Lunn a 12:53-minute long interview (April 1). Audio still available at the cbc.ca news site.
Look for CBC INTERVIEW Stephen Harper Audio: Susan Lunn talks to the PM (12:53 minutes).

Those are just 4 Canadian media availabilities the PM has granted.

And as Hunter mentioned, the G20 accepted the recommendations put forward by Canada and India. Was there much mention of that in the media? Hardly any. Why? Because they were concentrating on the REALLY important questions - did he or didn't he go to the 'loo?
What a bunch of maroons!

SQ - did you feel the same way when Chretien and Martin used the jet? Please let me know. What about when Martin hosted the G20 in Montreal - that one cost millions.

As for the photos - I'm not into that sort of thing.

Speaking of thumbsuckers....Good morning, SQ.

Hey SQ, it's your whining crybabyness which DEFINES you. Not very becomming, but then again, you're a lefty so it's an endemic trait.

On a lighter note, hope everyone has a great weekend!

Another Canadian interview to add to Gabby's list - CTV just showed a clip of an interview in London with Amanda Lang of Business News Network.

Sorry, I can't post a link as we aren't allowed to get BNN out here on the West Coast apparaently.

frmgrl posted this link over at BLY. The interview is today at 5:10est.

There sure are a few childish comments coming from the usual suspect(s).
I guess they would be anal retentive, no loo required.

At any rate, AG @ 5:38am is 100% correct. Mischief indeed.

Great upbeat post, Hunter!

If you have Shaw, phone them. They will hook you up. It is on channel 70. Just see if it is possible!
Otherwise it will be online at the link provided.

You should all visit Canadian Sentinal for a great clip of this photo op. All leaders mingling around, and there come O, and does a full waist bow to the Saudi King. That is a big nono for the POTUS. Why does he show such respect for a Muslim King, but his wife pulls a great gaffe with our Queen. And if you watch carefully, you can see PMSH in the crowd. My question re that clip, is the Queen is seen with her purse, put it is not in the photo. I really think the media has missed this important event. LOL.
Oh, and SQ, what taxes did PMSH raise for you. He has lowered them.
And I want specific examples of tax raises by PMSH.

Bec, I do have Shaw, but channel 70 is The Weather Channel out here.

Shucks huh! Well, they have been playing the odd 3 or 4 minute preview on Newsnet but I would go online if Shaw, can't hook you up!

I can just imagine Iguana at the G20. Well, Mr. Iguana, what would your policy on world finances be?

"I wrote a book and I have a PhD".

Oooooooooooh

What a sad state journalism has become in this country.Harper went to the can ,next up did he wash before shaking "The Ones" hand. Somewhere there are parents lamenting their sacrifice to educate their darling budding investigative journalist who now works for cp,bbc, cbc, etc.
