We Either Live Together, Or We Die Together!

I haven't seen enough newspapers running this article, and they should.
Egypt's Muslims attend Coptic Christmas mass, serving as "human shields"
Muslims turned up in droves for the Coptic Christmas mass Thursday night, offering their bodies, and lives, as “shields” to Egypt’s threatened Christian community
....
Egypt’s majority Muslim population stuck to its word Thursday night. What had been a promise of solidarity to the weary Coptic community, was honoured, when thousands of Muslims showed up at Coptic Christmas eve mass services in churches around the country and at candle light vigils held outside. (see photo gallery)

From the well-known to the unknown, Muslims had offered their bodies as “human shields” for last night’s mass, making a pledge to collectively fight the threat of Islamic militants and towards an Egypt free from sectarian strife.

“We either live together, or we die together,” was the sloganeering genius of Mohamed El-Sawy, a Muslim arts tycoon whose cultural centre distributed flyers at churches in Cairo Thursday night, and who has been credited with first floating the “human shield” idea.

Good for the silent Muslims, we have finally heard from them, and they are courageous.

This story is very encouraging and should be up front and centre. I'm surprised nobody has even commented on your blog. Maybe you should make another posting and see if was just bad timing or maybe it was overlooked but I can tell you I'm certainly glad I caught it.

I see the spam bots are steadily improving their ability to put comments that almost look like they are from people who read the post.

Actually the usual suspects here are speechless, those on the right because something good was said about Muslims here, and those on the left because something good was said about Muslims here.

I'm supportive of Muslims, especially the women, what I am not supportive of are the radical nuts and I absolutely hate sharia.

I imagine most people would agree.
