Yeah, that was pretty funny. I especially liked Jefferson's comedic dig at McCain's intended tax strategy and Lincoln's prescient indictment of the Bush administration. Genius!
The Obama thing worked pretty well as a comment about the lack of erudition and 'well turned phrases' in today's political climate, particularly the subtext about "If you think this Obama fella's a stuttering imbecile and an intellectual midget, you should check out the other guy!"

Cheque please. Loved that line. I'm not overly impressed with Obama but I am impressed with his wife. For a continent which calls itself progressive, we have not done a good job of electing a female leader. Meir, Ghandi, Thatcher, Sirleaf Johnson - strong woman who know how to run a country; even if you don't agree with their policies.
I'd like to see a woman take a turn at running Canada.

Guess you see now what happens if you disagree with some of your buddies! We have to put up with it all the time. They are a tolerant bunch only if you agree with them.
Lib4ever - what happened? Were you accused of being a CON Troll? I see that a lot on some other blogs - anybody who has a differing opinion is accused of being a paid operative of the CPC or a CON Troll. I just love the juvenile "CON" - such high-brow discourse.
Lib4Ever - I just took a look at your blog. It's ironic because the most vile comments I've ever read on a blog are over at the Halton Dude Ranch where any dissenting view is reason for immediate castigation and accusations of being a troll. Any dissenter who poses a legitimate question receives a snarky reply from the blog host - followed, usually, by a highly-intellectual rejoinder from the resident brain...usually along the lines of "moron" or "idiot". There is a core group of commenters who spew the most vile slags against anybody who even hints of not being a Lib supporter or, worse yet, hints of being a CPC supporter. And, yet, they all yak about democracy and respect. I'm sorry to say this, Lib4Ever, but your fellow Lib supporters don't know the first thing about decorum, respect, and democracy. Their insults against our PM are personal, libelous, slanderous, and totally unfounded. And, yet, they persist.
My advice to you would be two-fold: consider supporting the more rational party - the CPC, and pick up a dictionary so that these foamers cannot pick apart your spelling errors. These same people who will call down Harper for supporting only the elite are the same people who came down on you about your spelling.
Consider seriously the party which you support - if that is indicative of the type of mindset associated with the Lib party, then it is not the place for you. I do think that this vile mindset is the Liberal mindset - what other party applied the "scary" label to Harper, what other party says that he hates women, gays, immigrants, etc. Think carefully - do you want to run with this sort of crowd or do you want to hold your head up high and rise above that sort of rabble mentality? You seem to be a rational sort so I would suggest that you leave the Libs in your dust.
