Martin and McGuinty, Bully Boys!

Don't have the time to watch everything that went on in the committee? Well, here are two videos, compare and contrast the difference.

Finally, after two hours of the opposition interrupting Minister Oda, she gets a chance to clearly explain the FACTS!

A witch hunt is occurring, put on by the the opposition coalition, and it is disgusting. I hope voters understand that it is the opposition who are in contempt of Parliament. I also hope that you email Speaker Peter Milliken and tell him to stop this outrage.

What a pair of smug, arrogant, condescending, rude, insulting twits! Both of them need a good smack upside the head.

Thanks again for doing this Hunter.

And I love your idea about contacting Speaker Milliken!

Pat Martin and David McGuinty disgusts me and the MSM have joined them in the gutter to mislead Canadians instead of reporting the truth.
Bev Oda and Ms Biggs deserve an apology.
I also believe that Kairos should apologize to the minister. Shame on any christian church for supporting this witch hunt.
I am a member of the United Church of Canada and will be voicing my concerns on any involvement with Kairos.

What really ticks me off is the way the opposition has hijacked these committees for the last 5 years and used them for ridiculous partisan witch hunts. These committees are paid for by taxpayers and they are supposed to be used to analyze programs and find more efficient use of tax dollars and better services for Canadians. What a total farce this has become. This is scandalous - the Canadian people need to know what has been going on.

People who mislead Parliament though wilful acts of deception or incompetence need to be taken to task in a manner that ensures they get the point that it's not acceptable. Oda is either a liar or incompetent - she deserved this talking down to.

How did she lie, Kelly? Give me one example. Just one. It's easy to spout "liar, liar, pants on fire", but only kids do that without proof. Show us the proof or grow up.

I'm an Anglican and I'm going to write to the Bishop about our support for KAIROS. I went to their site and they are involved in all sorts of left wing activism what does this have to do with CIDA or helping third world poor people? What does "KAIROS" stand for anyway? Is it an acronym? No matter - Minister Oda definately made the right decision about defunding this organization. I'm sure there are many more that should be cut off from recieving our tax dollars.

Son, I said she was either a liar or incompetent.

Liar - She said she didn't know who put the "not" in the document, when she really knew it was added at her direction.

Incompetent - She didn't remember her own Ministerial actions. $7 million is allot of money, you would think a competent manager would know the facts.

You have to pick one or the other; liar or incompetent.

hunter said...

That would be Lady to you Kelly. Obviously, FACTS such as my clearly stated sex don't matter to you.

Minister Oda did not know who had actually put the NOT on the document until the next day, so she did not lie. Try again, but pay attention to actual FACTS, not Liberal talking points.

Kelly..if you listened to anyone other than the CBC in this matter, you would know that when the document was signed, she was out of the country...her staff inserted the not..she truthfully answered that she did not know WHO inserted the NOT.

Is that clear enough for you sweetheart!!!!

Kelly Jamieson said...

I'm not even a minister making a $7 million decision here but you criticize me for not knowing/bothering to research you're a woman, yet you let Oda away with not knowing what her own actions were or the actions of her Ministry? Common now, you know you can't have it both ways.

hunter said...

Kelly, it says female Edmonton, right on my front page, you didn't have to research anything, just read, but that appears to be beyond your capabilities.

Did you even watch the videos, especially Bev Oda's opening comments? I suspect not.

Kelly Jamieson said...

I watched Odas opening statements. She was delivering the "message" she wanted to deliver and that's all. I came to your website via the feed on Blogging Tories, so I didn't read up on your gender. You have to honestly face the fact you jump right on me because I didn't bother to look at your profile, yet you let Oda away with not knowing or not bothering to look at her own actions or the actions of her ministry regarding a $7 million line item. It would be comical for you to continue with such hypocrisy.

Kelly, using the typical lefty ploy to divert attention from the real issue, is lame.

Bev Oda did nothing wrong. I asked you in my first post to you to give me evidence that she lied, and you have been unable to do so. Show me the lie! Show me why she should be held up as a victim and charged with contempt.

Lefties need to understand if one MP is charged with contempt, every MP is fair game, and Pat Martin would be easy to convict.

Good for you Loyal Tory!

I found that the same thing is happening in the Catholic Church. It's very disturbing to me as a Catholic. I think churches should keep their noses out of politics.

Their charitable tax status could be in jeopardy if they keep this up.

Then let's get back to the topic at hand. I said:

"People who mislead Parliament though wilful acts of deception or incompetence need to be taken to task"

My thesis is that she is either lying or incompetent, and neither are acceptable. If she knew what was going on she lied, and if she didn't know what was going on she is incompetent. I lean toward incompetence, because she freely admits she didn't know what was going on in her portfolio.
