Alberta PC's Running Scared?

Within the last two weeks, I have received 2 calls from polling companies asking who I would vote for in the next Alberta election. Fine, I understand the need for polling. The problem is, that the odds of being randomly called 2 times in 2 weeks from a population of 3 million should be close to impossible. Seriously, I have been called once in 30 years on a national poll. I admit to joining the PC party when Klein was forced to retire so I could vote for Ted Morton, but I have never renewed it, I didn't vote in the last leadership race, though I wish now that I would have. So, who would have my number for these "random" polls? Funny you asked that.

Tonight, I got a call, no, not a robocall, from the Fred Horne camp. I have to ask, who called the election? Last I heard, REDford still hadn't announced the date. Guess they are trying to get ahead of the game. Fair enough, I'm sure all parties are doing the same thing.

What was interesting is that she had my husbands name, not mine. He has never signed up for any political membership in his life, so how did they get his name? They could not have gotten it out of the phone book, because our number is listed under my maiden name. Are they using the voter registration records? Must be. Anyhow...

I gave her dates of emails sent to Fred Horne that he had failed to respond to, last one was way back in December. I told her I had voted for him last election, but he had lost my support. My impression was that I wasn't the only one she had talked to that had said the same thing.

Given all the polling going on, and now this call, I can only assume that the PC's are running scared. GOOD!

Wildrose might not win, but they are going to take a lot of seats from the PC's, unless the Liberals and NDP shift their votes to the PC's. If the lefties vote PC, it will be too funny, a real show of their lack of commitment to their own parties. Dang lefties are easy to corrupt. When you have no idea of what your party stands for, you have no loyalty.

If you live in Alberta, the next voice you hear on the phone might be mine, calling for the Wildrose party. Just ask if my name is Hunter!  HA!
