Holland, Crying Like A Baby!

So, in my post yesterday, I had seen something about Liberal MP Mark Holland getting sued for letting his mouth erupt, before he engaged his brain. Watch and see for yourselves.

For the full version, go to view this clip and fast forward to 5:05:18.

Holland goes on CTV and makes allegations against a public servant, and then whines to the Speaker about Parliamentary privilege. He wants to say anything he cares to, against anyone he wants to, anywhere he wants to. Peter Van Loan rips his argument to shreds, and if the Liberals had any shame at all, they would apologize.

So, what happens today? Liberal MP Holland gets up in the House and makes the same allegations. Are the Liberals stuck on stupid? Oh, never mind, I already know the answer.

That's not fair, do you know how hard it is to fight someone who can fight back?

That was awesome! Van Loan was very impressive in that clip.

Did you make that video up yourself Hunter?

Yes Joanne, I've been fooling around with some video capture software, it's pretty easy.

The whole speech by Van Loan is worth listening to, he's very passionate.

I am always amazed at the arrogance or stupidity of the left. The left are characterized by people like Mark Holland who seem to think they have a divine right to slander anyone who does not agree with them.

You really have to wonder at Holland's lack of knowledge in thinking that because he is a Liberal MP bequeathed with the divine right to rule Canada , that he is exempt from the laws of libel when outside the House of Commons.

... but the real issue is that he has the nerve or arrogance to run to the Speaker of the House to ask for absolution after he opened his big mouth outside the House.

The spirit of Parliamentary priviledge is being completely abused by politicians.

It came from a time when the government or the crown controlled the various police forces and could intimidate MPs from speaking their minds and the truth.

But now instead of protecting the speach of MPs so that they may speak freely and openly without fear of unfair retribution they use it to intentionally lie. It's especially heinous now with the proceedings of Parliament being broadcast and soundbytes flying at the speed of light across the country.

I think if an MP intentionally lies in the House the priviledge should not be extended to them.

March 13...did you catch Holland
today with another Point of Order?
He is livid today.

Mark Holland is the front runner for my "Douche bag of the year" award (c).

Yes, I caught Holland today, he will be featured again on Friday when I get access to the video.

Reid, I agree, the days of privilege should be over. CTV, CBC, and Global frequently show clips from QP, so what is said in the House does not stay in the House like in the old days. Look at my video as an example, any blogger can capture tape and edit it. Privilege is being abused by MP's knowing that they are on camera.
