I saw this on Question Period yesterday (March 12) and then Dr Roy posted an article about it.
Not since the days when Jean Chrétien was prime minister and Stockwell Day the leader of the opposition has there been such a mismatch in the House of Commons. Reading through Question Period each day presents ongoing examples of Mr. Harper rising to the challenge presented by Mr. Dion and soundly making him look foolish.

10:25 PM A minor point regarding wit that hardly justifies the headline. No doubt the robotic Stephen Harper had his speech writers dredge up this witticism. Don't wet your pants, Mr. Turley-Ewart.
So Ambrose99, PM Harper had 2 minutes to get his speech writers into the House, and they wrote this response for him?
Wednesday is the day all parties get together to plot strategy, and the Liberals came up with a multiple choice quiz for PM Harper. Dion, from a script, written by his speech writers, and agreed to by his fellow Liberals, starts the game. PM Harper quickly turns it against the Liberals. Watch the Liberals trying not to laugh at something the Conservatives said while Dion is speaking, even they don't believe what Dion is saying. MP Karen Redman has to take a sip of water to hide her face.
What's next puppets? Oh, wait....the NDP already did that one!
Compare Dion, his shouting, arm waving, and failure to make a point, with PM Harper, calm, relaxed, and capable of thinking on his feet.
If anyone can make out on the tape what was so funny, please comment. It appears the Conservatives were teaching Dion the ABC's.

I didn't think that Dion could be more pathetic than he was when he said, You will see. But it will not be at this time where we have a snowstorm in Ontario and just before Easter.
Apparently, I was wrong.
The man is complete waste of time....

That was a classic Platty! The Liberals are leaderless, lacking morals, and have no clue what "Canadian values" really mean.
They hunger for power so much that they can't realize when they have crossed the line. Actually my respect for the NDP has increased because they understand that Cadman was a good man, and dragging his name through the mud for votes is despicable.
This is actually a good thing, it shows all Canadians what a truly useless party the Liberals have become. The only "Policy" they have is to create non existant scandals, they serve absolutely no purpose.
And you are right about the NDP, at least they have shown some common sense in the matter, something the Liberals know nothing of.
L.O. Fuc*ing L!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was amazing, Dion's A$$ was on a platter. Harper had his steak with onions! Oh man, talk about smackdown. They have to turn that one into a commercial. LOOOOOOOOL, I laughed so hard. I hope Dion stays long, this is too fun, this has to be a politcal sin, almost like glutony.
Meh.
Dion seemed pretty good, so did Harper.
It's actually a good battle in the house of late, and they're both at the same in the polls in a see saw battle, and they've both had some wins and some losses over the past year.
I see the spirit of the commenter's here is essentially an power hungry partisan we-ca-do-nothing-wrong attitude.
A step back would show that Harper and Dion are both carving out votes , putting out fires, and getting ready for a great battle.
What was so funny was Dion bumbling the script. I don't think there was a heckle or comment. The Libs were laughing AT Dion.
It was clear that the caucus was to start shouting "B," "C," etc. After "A" Dion forgot to go to "B." Then when his caucus shouted "B" he realized what he had done and said "B," but instead of coming up with a new question he repeated what he had said for "A." And after a brief pause added the word "daughter" to make B different from A. He's such a tool. He can't even follow a script. He is going to get creamed in a televised debate.
Also, I still think his english is crap. I don't get why people are saying it's getting better. At the begining of that clip where he says "who" he pronounces is as "woo." He's painful to listen to.
Also, I still think his english is crap. I don't get why people are saying it's getting better
I don't think it's the fact that it's getting better Reid, I think it has more to do with people learning Dionese, as in, oh yeah I know what word he is trying to say...

babalyonia. too much fun
Excuses why Liberal MPs and candidates won't invite Dion to their ridings:
A. It's too cold!
B. Easter and/or Mother's Day and/or Father's Day's coming.
C. It's too hot!
D. Too busy with the election!
E. Not during a Liberal leadership campaign.
F. Stéphane who?
Anon 5:35, that could be a whole new post! Too funny.
G Gone underground to hide from votes.
