Question Period: Heartless Liberals

Iffy lost a perfect opportunity to show the compassionate side of Liberals today by totally ignoring the horrible helicopter crash off of Newfoundland. Instead his first question was about the Liberal senators passing the budget.

Thankfully we have a Prime Minister who recognizes there is a time for partisan comments and a time for compassion and prayers. He used his first answer to express his worry about the helicopter accident. I am sending my prayers to the families and hopefully the survivors of that accident.

This is a perfect example of why I respect and admire our Prime Minister. He understands that you have to care about all Canadians, not just Conservative Canadians. Very classy job Mr. Prime Minister!

The Liberals, Bloc and NDP get a big raspberry! Heartless Liberals, heartless lefties!

I am at a loss of words to describe everything that went on in that, it's like Iggy stepped on a 10 rakes............side-show-Bob style.

Too bad these can't be made into a commercial of some sort, the uninformed canadian electorate don't come across these things.

Did Iggy say March the first?
Well yes he did, so Iggy is in possession of a wayback machine.

Good grief! Yes, the helicopter crash was unfortunate. Do our politicians need to grieve every mishap that happens in Canada? I do recall Harper deciding not to half-mast the Canadian flag on Parliament Hill every time a soldier got killed in Afghanistan. I agreed with his position. If we need to show our grief all the time, then let's bring in the grief counsellors.

Not only that but he ran to mommy to stop those mean old Tories from being mean to him. Poor Baby.

Reminds me of "dat's not fair"

As if the Liberals, the NDP and the Bloc haven't spent weeks smearing Stephen Harper.

Why do I always miss QP on the best days? I guess there is something pretty juicy re Ukraine as well?
It was obvious that Iggiasm, had full intention of trying to score a point. PMSH, however got the hat trick!

Can any lib troll show us where any conservative senator went public with the stmt that he/she would not support the budget, aka Baker. Also notice that iggy took his time to stand with all members to offer sympathy.
I hope all dippers who are unemployed and waiting for benefits realize that their dear leader said NO, to them and tried to deny them benefits.
As for iggy saying he could/would be PM, when would that have happened. We all know that Dion was still leader at that time.

Forgot to mention that even the Skip of the NFLD team at the Brier made a stmt re the crash and offered their prayers.

Re : Skinny Dipper @ 5:15
You’re right, it isn't necessary that the PM "grieve every mishap that happens in Canada".
But, it’s unquestionably the right thing to do.
I know what your real concern is, and that’s how your beloved “Iffy of Quackademica” and his fellow Coupquistadors come off looking like a bunch of self centered imbeciles. I’d want to change the subject too if I was of the same mind as that crew.

RE Skinny Dipper @ 5:15 am

Yes, SD, it is terribly important to acknowledge terrible Canadian tragedies, which this most certainly, is turning out to be.
The BC snowmobiler's, the NB, basketball team, etc. etc.
These people, are our fellow Canadians, represented in the HoC's by MP's.
I want my lawmakers, to speak for me, when I am unable to broadly, convey my sympathies.

Skinny Dipper:

You're aguement is baseless. Mentional tragic events is NOT the same as not half masting the Peace Tower flag. Politicians of all parties mention the death of CF members in the House. Protocol for the Peace Tower flag, even prior to the Conservatives forming government, is to not lower the flag for CF members deaths.

This tradgedy in NFLD has rekindled memories of the Ocean Ranger. The only body recovered in that disaster was a local boy. His mother, grandparents and several other family members still reside here. He was a classmate of some of my kids. Every expression of sympathy from around the world was much appreciated at that time. So, yes, the PM was right to offer his condolences, and lib trolls who object are just as heartless as iggy, layton and duceppe were. Again notice the almost reluctance of iggy to stand, and the look of disgust on his face.

Every day in QP,
Iffy's first question for PMSH

'the sky is falling, why haven't you fixed it yet?'

Iffy's second question for PMSH

'the sky is falling, why haven't you fixed it yet?'

and so it goes for 4 questions,
followed by McCallum, asking the same question (but with that irritating voice)

EVERY DAY same QP, same Iffy, same question.
Iffy, please ask a real question, you're looking stupid.

Good news (tho you wouldn't know it by the headlines)
Job losses in February were MUCH lower than in January!!!

I have to say that our PM is one class act. He showed Ignatieff up so well. Does Harper ever make a misstep? Not that I've ever seen.

As for Ignatieff - does he ever change the record? Sheesh. And always the posturing and the hostility - unbelievable.

I can't say it often enough - our PM is one serious class act. Bravo Mr. Harper.

As an aside - since Layton rejected the budget, sight unseen, does this mean that he is against enhanced EI benefits? You know, if the guy had even one ounce of class, he'd publicly state that he had acted rashly and that he was wrong to reject the budget out of hand. But, of course, that would require a minimum of one ounce of class. Given that our PM has class by the truckload, perhaps he could lend an ounce or two to Jack Layton. After all, Harper could lose half of his class and still have more than the average person and certainly more than the average leftist politician.

Interesting......could they all be one in the same??? Or maybe they have finally realized that the new lib leader is alot like the old lib leader and the older lib leader and the one before that....all speaking out of both side of their mouths.
