No Friday Night Funnies, But......

Something you might enjoy anyways. Good Friday is a day to reflect on your faith and your life. I want to know what you do to make your community a better place. Volunteering is a good way to get involved in your community. As most of you know, my family volunteers for Dogs with Wings as a foster family. I thought you might enjoy some videos of Dogs with Wings and some of the foster dogs we have or have had.

This first video will give you an idea about the Dogs with Wings organization, look closely at the black lab puppies, one of them is ours (not the one barking)!

The next video shows a working guide dog named Enzo, we fostered him and we are glad to see that he is a real star! Funnily enough, the first dog we ever fostered, Pride, went to Ray as well, so both dogs he talks about were our fosters, and they both did/do a terrific job of making Ray's life easier.

If it doesn't show the right video, just click on the Dogs with Wings one.

Finally, we went to the airport to pick up a black lab puppy from California last Good Friday, and here is her reaction to a mirror!

Seeing how these dogs change a handicapped persons life, makes it all worth it for us. So, this Easter, think about what you are doing to contribute to helping those in society who need it the most. Writing a cheque is good, but actually getting involved is better. Too many people talk about helping those who are in need, but do nothing about it. A perfect example are the soft on crime crowd who yap about rehabilitating criminals not incarcerating them. They talk, they write papers and they cry that Conservatives don't care about the criminals, only the victims.

When you look at who is helping the homeless, it's Christian organizations, yet lefties are the first to criticize anything Christian. Everyone, no matter their voting colour, should get involved in an organization in their community that will help those people who can not help themselves. So, step away from your keyboards, and join your community this Easter in rejoicing and become an active participant to help better your life and those of others! Volunteer.

Labs rule! My Chocolate Lab (who is a therapy dog)visits our local elementary school. The kindergarten and grade 1 kids read to her. She LOVES it!

Five little monkeys, sitting on a bed, one fell off and hurt his head...

(We hear this story a lot. :))

Always a pleasure to meet another dog person. Both my wife and I have been living with and working with dogs since the early 80's. I like the work you're doing.
