Prime Minister Harper...I still love saying that!

Why? Because I am a Conservative, but most importantly because he is a TRUE Prime Minister, not just a power hungry Power Corp sponsored robot. He was a speaker today at the NATO Conference in Bucharest, you can see clips of this on CTV, but CPAC has the whole presentation on file, in video on demand. Watch the whole thing if you have the time.

Finally, I don't have to cringe anymore like I did when Chretien was on the world stage. How excellent was it that PM Harper was part of the conference with President Karzai and NATO Secretary General Japp De Haap Scheffer, while back at home, the Liberals were suing a newspaper because they wanted to release the names of their Quebec candidates? Whats up with that foolishness?

On Mike Duffy Live, they were laughing so hard, it was difficult to make out what they were saying! Check out the "Twist in a Leak" video! The twist, it was a reporter actually doing his job, not relying on Liberal leaks. HA! Add the "abolish the penny" issue, and the "hang Mulroney" issue, and you get a real take on how disfunctional this Parliament has become.

Dion is dropping to 0 in Quebec, the Bloq and Conservatives are tied in Quebec, the NDP are starting to look less lefty than the Liberals, and on the world stage, Canada is back. No opposition party can afford to bring on an election, so to get all three to agree is going to be impossible. I predict (again) we go to the fixed election date.

Better yet, the Liberals have used up all their fake scandals, and have no bullets left in the gun, or should I say they have shot their load, and all they have left are blanks.

They have had nothing of interest to bring up during Question Period, no arrows are hitting the target, they are still beating a dead horse with Mulroney, and they are still trying to make the Cadman issue into something it just isn't, plus they are disrespecting a very honourable MP in the process. They care not, their eyes are on power. I noticed that the Conservatives are using that phrase during Question period, and it should be very effective.

Liberals only interested in power, a Conservative ad coming soon!

LOL - too, too funny - Harper isn't power hungry? Are you for real.

He's played a lot of games to try to get his beloved majority with blood dripping from his teeth.

Think about it - he's trying to buy Quebec. He's pretending to be middle of the road when he's actually right wing.

Why would any leader want to not be in power? Doesn't make sense at all.

"He's played a lot of games to ..."

Please, anony spell those games out for me because the only game playing I see is from you liberals with your pseudo scandals.

But perhaps you will enlighten me.

I made a point of watching the Conference on CPAC last night.
Damn, PMSH was good.
He was so articulate. No two ways about it, he is a 'world class' leader.
You see Your PM as one of the 3 Afghan mission VIPs on the world stage.
It kinda draws you into reality, away from all this Liberal hairyfairy make believe pathetic mindless crap here in QP.

The moderator said she was a Canadian, and the audience applauded. Imagine that.

Wilson..I agree..the Bucharest conference was amazing. I was spell bound watching our PM speak with incredible clarity and composure. The reactions to what he was saying by both Karzai and the Nato Chief were equally exciting. We are SO fortunate to have him as our Prime Minister! Imagine for a moment..Dion being in that chair..it sends chivers up my spine. Not only hilarious but disastrous.

Anonymous 600am, if Harper is desperate for a majority and an evil genius, why would he tax income trusts? That wasn't very popular, was it?
Why did he extend the mission in Afghanistan, that wasn't very popular, was it?
Why did he stand up to that crybaby Danny Williams, that wasn't very popular, was it?
The media needs to give you a new script to read from, that one's got a bit too much coffee spilled on it.
Mindless sheep voting liberal because their favorite color is red.
Or is there some more adult thought put into it than that?

Personally it really came to a head for me this week... ALL the media and Liberal politics being played out here in Canada while our duely elected leader was doing us proud at NATO with next to no info coming over the airwaves back here unless you get those chanels on your local cable. The resurgence of Cadman supposed scandal, the crap about the flag on Parliment hill when the Heratage Commision is due to release their own Government commisioned recommendations including the flag be lowered, The demands that PMSH appear in a hearing the same time he's overseas doing his Job...and all the time the media playing the Liberals side uncontended without the true facts on the matters at hand... I was forced to see Red in many meanings of the term!!!

Unfortunately most people are very busy in their daily lives and the short news snip-its/blurbs coming in from our Nationally Gov't Funded supposed non-biased sources and Liberal owned media seem to dominate the airwaves...and hearing the new national Poll this morning having Liberals and Con's neck and neck this morning didn't help.

As Canadians' we need to demand unbiased news...just the facts please and both sides of the story need equal coverage so we are informed...not spoon fed

What I really wish the gov't would do is take a page out of the former Social Cred gov't in BC and release an annual report on what they said they'd do vs. what they've done/accomplished...and where what they've said would be done is being held up if it's stalled along the way...i.e. Let the country know the Liberal Senate has fianally ruled, has yet to rule on the matter and what date they will make or made their decision.

We pay for all these clowns so deserve an update on WTF we're getting for our money.

We also should have made available a list of time MP's spend in the house, how many votes they attend, and what their votes are each year.

This would give individuals real knowledge on what their duely elected officials who we pay with the public purse are doing to urn our respect as voters and to urn our vote.... But only recently has Accountability and Politics seen any sort of light of day in Canada... must be on account of some political party not wanting to have Gov't hidden from the people any longer after years of privlaged rule...

Anon 8:39, great points, if PM Harper is so power hungry, why would the Conservatives do so many things that were going to loose them votes?

Anon 12:50, I like the idea of an annual report!

Alberta Girl, I see Anon 6:00 still hasn't responded, thats over 14 hours he/she has had to respond, must be a slow responder!

I totally agree with Wilson and Caz, PM Harper makes me very proud to be a Canadian.
