Question Period was a rich mine field today, starting with this little gem.
Jennings whose husband was appointed to some board (Someone remind me) is so arrogant she doesn't even blink when she is accused of doing the same thing the Conservatives are fighting Elections Canada about. She arrogantly states that she was cleared.
Right Jennings, so where is that 40 million? Did you get a brown envelope full of taxpayers money? Oh right, Gomery cleared all you Liberals, and now Elections Canada does the same thing. Funny how the Liberals knew all about the raid, who's the Elections Canada mole? Seems some snivel servants aren't quite as non-political as they should be, hope they are caught, and hung out to dry.
Using my freedom of speech, while I still have it, Bullpucks, you Liberals are so arrogant, you think you lost the last election because of an RCMP investigation. Wrong, you lost it because you did nothing for 13 years, nothing.
So arrogant, so Liberal, so sad you are in opposition. NOT!

I haven't been so angry while watching Question Period since Paul Martin was in power. It's disgusting. Honestly, there were times where I would have loved it if she were shouted down....

Jennings and the rest of the Librano women are no ladies let me put it that way. On the other hand the CPC women are real ladies. They're strong but at the same time present themselves with grace.

Martha Hall Findlay has been very arrogant in Question Period. Speaking with disdain and contemp of anything non-Liberal. She fits in very well with the other female Liberals.
The Liberals appear to have all MSM and government beauracrats working for them. I wonder which government department is planned to undercut the conservatives next week.

So, this "boy" can bash feminists all SHE wants because as a Conservative woman, I'm not a wimp, and I do not EVER, bow down to feminists who's souls are so ugly and hate filled against males that they attack them to try to neuter them. I actually like males, especially my husband, something feminists have no clue about.

But to simply tar all "feminists", i.e., women who believe that they should be treated with respect and given opportunities equal to those of men in society, as not having "class" or worse things still seems kind of simplistic and over-generalizing. There are annoying women who are "feminists" and there are annoying women who claim they're not.
I still maintain that this kind of attitude is killing female voting support for the Tory party whether mouthed by Tory men or women.

Women should not "believe" they should be "treated with respect", they should earn it like every male out there has to. We should not be "given opportunities", we need to earn them.
I am treated with respect because I have earned it. I do not want a free ride because I am a female, I want to show everyone what I am capable of doing, as a person. Feminists want a free ride because they are female, not because of what they can do. This goes against my desire to be a successful individual.

hunter, I understand your statement that you want your respect to be earned. But I would say that it's too bad that those same men whose respect you intend to get can't start from a position of respect in the first place. That's the implication of what you're saying, as I understand it.
In the wise tradition of "do unto others…" I would say that if we started by assuming respect for others it would be a healthier world for women and men. I wouldn't call giving people the benefit of the doubt a "free ride". My respect for someone can always increase or decrease based on their actions.
