Boot Harper!

That's right, the Conservatives should boot Harper as he didn't win a majority. Seriously, the Conservatives will never win a majority if we keep Harper as our leader! He will be gone before the next election.

The forecast: Dion out by year's end, Harper before the next vote

But, by next year, the Liberals will have a new leader who will be much more popular than Mr. Dion. There is likely to be a deepening, American-induced recession. Circumstances for the Prime Minister will be twice as tough as they were in this campaign. Stephen Harper will take the hint, behold declining poll numbers, realize the Big Win isn't there, and step out gracefully - as a great builder of the party and as a winner. He won't make the mistake that so many do, hanging on for glory's last shot and falling in the process.

Okay, that's just too funny! Hello LAWRENCE MARTIN, give your head a shake, just because you fear PM Harper, and the Liberals fear PM Harper, does not mean that Conservatives fear PM Harper. We actually like him! That's right, Conservatives like PM Harper, and it appears that lots of people across this great country of ours, like PM Harper too. I know that's news to you, but look at the election results, and get a clue.

Liberals are trying to change the channel from Dion's sorry performance to a "get rid of Harper" campaign, too funny. Hey Liberals, maybe you should be looking at your leadership or lack thereof before you start another "stop Harper" campaign. The last one produced your worse results ever for Liberals. Might want to rethink that strategy boys.

Just shows you how clueless the Liberal party is, they think Dion is the problem, and are now searching madly for Canada's Obama. I hate to give you any help, but maybe Dion was only part of the problem.....why do I bother, Liberals get hit with the facts right between the eyes, and are obviously too stunned by the blow to see reality. Fine with me, carry one as before, it's working.......for Conservatives! HA!

When will the message finally get thru to the media and pundits that the election is over and we won. Has anyone seen any of the new conservative MPs on tv, especially those that beat sitting liberals. And notice the vote loss of liberal MPs who managed to eke out a win. When you have liberals who have won by over 7000 votes in the past, barely get in with a 33 vote, 68 vote or even 500 votes, that is a lot of disgruntled liberals who did not vote this time. Are we going to have the next 3-4 years of media bashing. It didn't work this time and will be less effective next time. Libs have their knives out for Dion, and so does the media.
Both libs and the media have to face the fact, a new leader is not going to do much for them until they get rid of all MPs who have been there since Trudeau, and start to get candidates who could win regardless of the leader. Why push the liberals to go deeper into debt for no gain.
Dion did not lose the election by himself, the liberal policies of the past 30 years and broken promises lost the election.
And electing Trudeau will just bring back all the hate in the west at his father.
Putting a fresh apple on top of a barrel of rotten ones will not work.

The left would love to see Harper step down. Really, they would. Because they're scared of him. Me, I like Harper, I think he's doing a great job, and I hope he stays as leader (and PM) for the next 20 years or so.

(Imagine how P.O.'d that would make the leftists)

Hey Judas, you should be a liberal the way you are so ready to put a knife in the PM's back.

I think the Prime Minister Harper is doing a GREAT job, you are the first person that I have heard suggest that. lol. I suggest you attend more conservative rally's and maybe join your local riding association just to feel how much conservatives are happy with the man.

It won't be happening anytime soon.

martin is a liberal. It would be better for the liberals if the Tories did this. I have heard no calls for anything. This is just too funny. I guess gritpundits have to write about something to take the focus off the pathetic grits.

Sean,

Are you talking about Hunter or Lawrence Martin?

Obviously from Hunter's statement...."Okay, that's just too funny! Hello LAWRENCE MARTIN, give your head a shake, just because you fear PM Harper, and the Liberals fear PM Harper, does not mean that Conservatives fear PM Harper. We actually like him!", she's quite happy with Harper

By a couple of comments I think they take you serious. That is funny.

Sean,

Agreed he's doing a great job, I think Lawrence is just sore the Liberal Party lost so badly, so he's pooh-poohing everyone.

I think the fact that it is LIBERALS who are calling for Harper to step aside should tell you something.

Great piece, Hunter, and you made Jack's Newswatch too. Looks like a few people only read the first couple of sentences.

LOL

I saw Lawrence Martin on Goldhawk last Sunday. The two of them spent 2 hours, shamelessly snearing and snickering, everything Harper. The whole show was the two of them and a few other LIBERAL HACKS doing their jobs. I have never seen anything so blatenly obvious , and with no attempt to HIDE their Conservative bias.
Lawrence Martin needs to get over himself and move on. No one takes him seriously.
PRIME MINISTER STEPHEN HARPER for a second term. Canadians have spoken, Mr. Martin. GROW UP!!!

Hunter ... You are getting early with the Friday Funnies.

I can't believe how many readers think that Hunter wants PMSH gone.
Must be why some liberals were still elected, voters didn't read the whole story. Guess she should have said Sarc On when she posted that. It was Martin's column she was referring to. Liberals and media out to get rid of PMSH for their own selfish reasons. They couldn't stop him being elected so continue to bash and hope we conservatives will fall for their lies. Sorry, accept it, PMSH is there for at least another 3 years and the libs will still be in meltdown and further in debt.

Congratulations to Helena Guergis and Rahim Jaffer - looks like he will have a job in Ottawa after all.

The Canadian Conservative World salutes the two of you.
