A Message From Alberta To Quebec.

Screw off! You arrogant a$$holes.

You are so arrogant, you think by voting Bloq you can wring more money out of the rest of Canada. PM Harper did everything he could to make you a part of Canada, and you snubbed your noses at us, you chose a separatist party, so I say, separate. If you don't, Alberta will.

Quebec is the problem, you steal from the West and yell about our oilsands, those same oilsands that support your $7 a day daycare.

I am spitting mad at those voters from Quebec, who love anyone named Trudeau but can't support a Conservative. You won nothing, the Bloq can do nothing for you. The Quebec nation is a fallacy, go ahead and separate. Let's hold a referendum across Canada on Quebec, bet we boot them out.

I feel the same about Newfoundland and Labrador. Hey Danny Boy, now what? At least PEI was smart enough to elect one Conservative, not so Newfoundland and Labrador, live with your choice.

Am I feeling vindictive, you bet. I hope the Conservatives ignore Newfoundland and Labrador like they have ignored us. Fair play. See what the opposition can do for you, nothing. You better hope PM Harper is not as outraged as I am.

So, Quebec, screw off, that's what you just told us to do by the way you voted.

I am so tempted to go on Garth Turner's site and make a snide comment on his loss to Lisa Raitt, but I will follow our leader and keep my dignity intact. Despite his dishonesty, rudeness, deception, innuendo, attacks, Garth lost by a significant margin to Lisa Raitt.

Danny Williams, despite his vitriol could not defeat Harper.

Elizabeth May, despite her arrogance, could not defeat Peter MacKay.

A while back, Garth ended one of his blogs with: "Man, we are so winning". It appears to me that he won, the last time, on the strength of Stephen Harper. It looks like he should have written: "Man, I so should have behaved myself and stayed a CPC" because "Man, the Libs are so losing".

In a democracy you get to vote for the candidate of your choice. A vitriolic outburst like this just proves to the rest of Canada that you really are bat$iht crazy. You hate, (and nobody hates like a Conservatve) actually hate someone because they do not agree with you. You are really a sad, pathetic, petty individual. Dear Leader did bupkis to make Quebec a part of Canada. I think Confederation took care of that.

Oh, and how do YOUR oilsand support OUR daycare?

8 billion dollars per year going to Quebec from the Alberta oilsands. That is how we support you day care.

I agree with you Hunter. It's clear that Quebec is the spolied fat daughter of this family we know as Canada. Too lazy to get off her fat behind and contribute, but is content to feast of the efforts of others (OIL sands).

Maybe we have it too good here in Canada. Someone once wrote that once the electorate has the power to vote itself money, that's it. Quebec wants to be catered to so they chose the advocates of the fat lazy sister, the Bloc(heads). They will pi$$ and moan and threaten to leave and the rest of Canada will buckle and keep sending her the fat laden eclairs to keep her happy.

Personally, I'd like to kick her fat a$$ out once and for all.

A Message From Quebec To Alberta:

How about this: you vote for whoever you want, we vote for whoever we want and leave it at that? I could be mad at Alberta because they all voted Conservatives like little sheeps without even asking questions. But you voted to protect your own interests, we did the the same thing. This is also why this confederation doesn't work.

Harper didn't do ANYTHING for Quebec expect empty symbolic gestures. Even if he did, we don't owe him anything. Quebec will never vote for someone that doesn't even believe global warming is real.

And you can whine all you want because the Bloc is a regional party, but don't you see irony in the fact that the Reform Party was also a regional party?

Don't pretend to be the noble ones when in fact you are as selfish as everyone else (Screwing the environment for a few years of economic growth? That IS selfish.)

To maryT: Where did you pull that number? Oh wait...

Hey philou,

We only extract and refine the oil in Alberta. It's eastern Canada that manufactures the poluting automobiles. Why is the environment only Alberta's problem? Oh right, too many (union) jobs at stake so the eastern Canadian manufacturing sector is off limits. (just like they were exempt from Kyoto - go figure).

Yet you have no problem accepting BILLIONS of ALBERTA'S dollars in form of transfer payments and subsidies. You know what subsidies are, don't you? That's the cash that goes to little Mere and Pere operations like Bombardier and never get paid back. Don't bother mentioning subsidies to oil companies because Quebec has received far more cash than Syncrude, Suncor, and Exxon.

Seeing we're talking about the environment, Bombardier produces carbon spewing jet planes and inefficient Rotax engines that power personal watercraft and ATV's. You know what personal watercraft and ATV's are, don't you? They are usually lumped into the same category as SUV's when an eastern Canadian is sanctimoniously preeching how BAD these things are to the environment! Oh the hypocracy! You want to have your cake and eat it too!

But hey, don't take away our subsidies or you'll separate, right?

Just go. Good riddance.

Do you realize that if Quebec were to leave Canada they won't get Alberta's money anymore? Maybe I'll wait for junior to get home from school so he can type that question to you in French, should you suffer from the same English language only hearing problem as Dion. NOT ONE NICKEL. ZIP. You wouldn't survive a year. Your new 'country' would be a French speaking Bangladesh, but with snow instead of monsoons.

Just think of what we Albertans could do with 8 billion dollars! We could erect a large gold sculpture of an extended middle finger, pointed eastward.

Philou Félin said...

Eskimo,
Your comparison between auto manufacturers and oil sands is nonsense. That would be like comparing someone who shoots people and someone who make guns. Plus, Quebec doesn't even have an auto sector so your point is moot. I am not particularly for subsidizing manufacturing sectors that have no hope of being profitable again (auto sector). I am even less for subsidies for companies that make record profits (oil companies). And you lost me with your ignorant rant about watercrafts. Bombardier sold it's recreative products division many years ago. Alberta has a short memory. You received equalization payments for year before oil price rose enough for the oil sands to be profitable. No one can even say what the hell was Alberta doing before that beside agriculture.
Instead of building a golden middle-finger, I suggest you save for the future. Because the oil sands won't always be there. The fact is that Quebec with it's clean hydro and knowledge economy is a sustainable and modern society, while Alberta is not there yet.
As for an independent Quebec, it would be the 21th world economy in terms of OECD countries with a GDP comparable to Germany. I think we would do just fine, Quebec is no Bangladesh. You are delusional.
I also like your double-standard when it comes to language. I am a francophone so I am stupid if I make a small mistake in English, but you can't even use basic french without the help of your daughter. Way to go.

Please, stop your Quebec bashing. You are the reason why Quebec doesn't care about Canada anymore.

Southern Quebec said...

Philou: I don't think it's a question of we don't care about Canada. It's small minded people like Hunter and Eskimo that make Albertans look like stupid red necks. 99% of Albertans make the others look stupid.

And, Eskimo, have you seen what Fort McMurray looks like? It is one slag heap after another just waiting for an accident to happen.

Oh, if you want to buy the gold for that middle finger, you will have to buy it in Northern Quebec or Northern Ontario.

FWIW, I'm embarrassed by a PM who believes that humans and dinosaurs co-existed.

Yes, southern quebec, I've seen what Ft. McMurray looks like.

The tailings ponds, (if this is what you're referring to) while not a pretty as tailings ponds that exist in la belle province, are a bit of an eyesore, but they are in the process of being reclaimed and yes, it will take some time.

I've been to Ft. McMurray more times than I can count and spend a week each summer hiking (and ATV-ing) in the beautiful wilderness up there.

While you and your ilk wax hysterics about how 'dirty' and 'bad' oil is, in this beautiful back country there are areas where the bitumen is scattered across the forest floor. Along the Athabasca River the oil literally oozes out of the river banks. You can find bitumen rocks on the sandy shores of the thousands of crystal clear lakes in the area. It's all naturally occuring. Funny how the wildlife does quite well up there, what with all that 'bad oil' thier tender little paws may have touched.

To get to the 'good stuff', open pit mining is required. Not unlike the many open pit ore mines in Ontario and Quebec, except you guys have more seats in parliament and enjoy a higher level of 'consciousness', so that makes it ok, right?

Rednecks, eh? Whatever. I have the last laugh knowing I probably paid more in taxes last year than you grossed in the last two.

By the way, slag is a byproduct of processing steel. There ain't no steel mills in Ft. McMurray, but partial points for trying.

Oh, and pilou, if Quebec 'doesn't care about Canada anymore', for crissakes, get the @#$% out. Take your 200 year old grievence of losing an old war to 'les anglais' with you. Like I said, you won't last a year until you're back at our doorstep (and bank accounts) on bended knee, cap in hand.

maryT said...

So what PM believes dinasaurs and humans co-existed.
I am surprised at how ignorant some quebec voters are from the comments posted on various blogs. They know nothing about Canada, or history or who is or was the pm.
Maybe they need to overhaul their school system. But their health care must be great because it appeared that Dion's hearing problem has been cured, he did hear a question, in english, in a crowd and responded to it without any help And he did it on the first try.

maryT said...

Anyone wanting to know where the 8 billion figure come from, it has been posted an numerous blogs for the past few weeks. Ont gets 102 billion and the feds 52. All from the oilsands in Alberta.
Why doesn't Duceppe put forth a bill to take Quebec out of Canada, or why doesn't someone put forth a bill that unless you are a national party, and run in all provinces, you cant sit in the HofC. Reform was never a regional party, it was a federal party from the getgo. Please get out of my country.

Poor Southern Quebec has to pull out the "scary" religious card. HA. I do not hate anyone, but I see by your comments, you have to resort to name calling. I see you are still in the sticks and stones stage of your life. If you dislike my blog so much, why do you keep visiting and commenting? Scoot back to rabble, you fit right in with their rabid extremism.

MaryT, I propose that a bill be approved in Parliament, that, if the Bloq get 50 seats out of 75 (67%), that Quebec has voted to separate, and should leave. This should gain the support of the Bloq, and would pass easily.

I would accept that bill for Alberta too. If 67% of Albertans vote for a separatist party, that would mean automatic separation from Canada.

Wonder which province would be the first to go? HA!

Liberal supporter, by not watching the video, posted on this blog, Oct 5-penalize big oil, proves you do not pay attention to posts, just jump to conclusions.
1. scroll down to bottom of page
2. click on older posts
3. go to post on Oct 5, title above
4. watch the video.
5 listen carefully.
I never said they get that money in cash but in jobs, manufacturing, taxes etc.
6. open your eyes and learn.
Oh, and I heard it first hand on the radio.

maryT said...

Lots of talk re Dion's future. I suggest every conservative send him a letter or e-mail thanking him for his dedication to Canada and wishing he would stay on as Liberal leader.
By the way, did any covered faces show up to vote yesterday, without ID.

Well I'm letting you jap Liberal Supporter, that's more respect than I would get if I tried to post on rabble.

I have one rule and that's no swearing, other than that try actually making a factual point that us Conservatives can argue. You see, we don't go all weak kneed because we "feel" we are right, or that we are "misunderstood", we like facts.

Go here for the facts, if you can handle them.

After watching the video I am not impressed. Bunch of partisan rhetoric. No explanation about where the numbers come from. You really need a clue about what a "fact" is. Repeating something many times doesn't make it true or factual. You need credible sources like government data or trusted, independent reviews. Until then, stop throwing meaningless numbers at our face. Looks like some Cons here are not used to being challenged on their claims.

To maryT:

"why doesn't someone put forth a bill that unless you are a national party, and run in all provinces, you cant sit in the HofC. Reform was never a regional party"

No taxation without representation. So what you are suggesting is that we stop sending taxes to the federal gov? Or that we can't elect who we want? That's how you see democracy?
Reform was never a regional party? Go tell that to someone outside the West. That's not because you run candidates in every riding that you are a national party. The Bloc could easily do that. Then I suppose you would be happy? Probably not. You see the double-standard here?

"Please get out of my country."

Please tell how this country is yours and not mine, given the fact that my ancestors have been there for more than 400 years? I am so eager to hear your senseless rant.
