Not only was Dion clueless, but they played the hearing card, which by the way Duffy was right to call them on. Dion heard perfectly, he just had no speech in front of him to tell him how to answer. A major mistake on tape, it can not be taken back, spun, or made to look better.

This was the defining moment in the election, it showed how unprepared Dion and the Liberals are to take back the reins of our country.

I can't imagine how using the Prime Minister to make fun of your opponents English will be helpful to you.
I am not using the Prime Minister, no one is making fun of Dion's English, it's his lack of a plan after YELLING about PM Harper's lack of one that is so serious.

Do not blame the Prime Minister, he got cornered by the press and asked the question...fortunately he was prepared (he had seen the interview attempts) and I thought his answer was straight to the point and that is, he had trouble understanding the english and also to find the words to reply back. We saw Stephane Dion "laid bare". We are not to blame. The media released it. Fair game after that.
The Libs cannot criticize CTV. According to Garth, the Lib party stands for TRUTH and DEMOCRACY. Truth is showing all candidates' true colours and CTV did just that. So, I imagine that Garth will criticize his own party, now, for attempting to suppress the TRUTH by asking that the interview not be broadcast.
Tony - what are you talking about. You think Dion wouldn't have been front and centre "talking" about Harper not caring if the shoe had been on the other foot - oh, excuse me - he DID, right after Harper told us that there were good buying opportunities.
I can't believe how you libs are trying to spin this. I guess I know know why it was announced that Dion had a "hearing problem" at the beginning of the campaign. That way, when this exact thing happened, it could be brought out and used just like it has been.

And we have to ask the Green voters if they really want Lizzie May in the senate. That will happen if Dion wins, and we can thank the Greens for that. She has tossed the greens under the bus in a supposed effort to stop PMSH. The truth is she wants that Senate seat and she needs them to get it. Wonder how many other things she has lied about what she would do.

Jeff - please tell us how this, in any way (other than liberal land) this is the same.
1. this is not about misunderstanding the question or about language - this is about Dion's answer when he did understand it - that being he would have a meeting with economists to have them tell him what to do.
2. Stephen Harper did not "make fun" of his language - he stated that Dion obviously did not have a plan.
3. That, Jeff, was obvious by Dion's answer.

Hunter, you have access to many video clips. Do you have the one of Dion explaining his hearing problem IN FRONT OF CROWDS, not in a one on one.
Great to have a side by side of that to counter the media spin that he has a hearing problem all the time. If one is hearing impaired, it is in all languages, and situations. How dare the media and Dion to insult all hearing impaired people that they can't make a decision without lots of retrys.

Really Jeff - because I asked you that several times right after you made comments - so unless you make drive by smears and never check back to see what responses are, I think you are lying that you do not know what I am asking you.
You made a comment the other day that those who got FACTOR grants were protesting at some "gala" or "gig" and I just asked if the FACTOR grant was one that was cut. My point being that if it wasn't why the protest by these recipients. It goes to Harper's comment that people attend these things to complain about cuts when they are not being cut.

Oh, and regarding the Kim Campbell thing - the Chretien facial paralysis issue was an ad which was created and broadcast. That was a deliberate act. Dion proving himself to be ineffectual and weak is his own doing. And speaking of whining - him and his alleged hearing problem. If he were any sort of man, he would deal with it instead of pleaing for sympathy. Not only is he not a leader, he isn't much of a man, either. Whiny men make me sick and that's exactly what he's doing when he whines about his alleged hearing problem.
