Fools On The Hill!

Okay this is so funny, it should be on my Friday Night Funnies, but I can't wait that long to expose the lefties as the "fools on the hill".

Liberals to return to work on Jan. 25, despite shutdown

OTTAWA — Liberal MPs and senators will return to work as scheduled in the nation's capital later this month, even though Parliament has been suspended until early March.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff informed his caucus during a conference call Tuesday that he expects them to report for work on Jan. 25.

He told caucus members they can't let Prime Minister Stephen Harper get away with shutting down Parliament and stifling debate.

The move is intended to capitalize on what Liberal strategists believe is a groundswell of public opposition to Harper's decision to prorogue or suspend Parliament until March 3.

"We think there's lots of work to do even if the government doesn't," said one Liberal involved in the call.

Still, Liberals want to avoid anything that might be dismissed as a partisan stunt. To that end, insiders say there'll be no mock Parliament or banging on the padlocked doors of the House of Commons.

Too funny! Iggy informed people during a conference call? From France I assume, seeing as he hasn't been seen for weeks.

Liberal strategists? Like Beer and Popcorn Reid? "GROUNDSWELL"? This is from the never questioned "Canadian Press". I have asked this before, and I ask it again, just who is the "Canadian Press" we see quoted so often? They obviously can just make stuff up.

"We think there's lots of work to do even if the government doesn't," said one Liberal involved in the call."

So Canadian Press, who is that supposed Liberal who conveniently leaked this to you?

Typical lefty tactics, post something positive about Liberals, everyone sing about prorogation being bad and Liberals going to work is a great achievement.

My question is....what are Liberals going to work at? Afghan detainees after 5 Canadian soldiers and one journalist have just been returned to Canada? Are you really so tune deaf that you do not understand that Canadians are getting ticked off with your accusations that our soldiers are somehow complicit in torture? Yet you yip about proroguing.

It makes me think about Belinda, she was a hero for crossing the floor for a Minister's position because she screwed Harper over, with no facts, just her "feelings". Then we had the hard lefties, the NDP, protesting in BC because Emerson crossed the floor. He was assaulted for the very same thing that Belinda baby did. The lefties were relentless in their pursuit against him, it disgusted me. If Conservatives had done the same thing against Sven, the ring robber, we would have been the bad guys.

It really is a mental displacement illness. Only they can do things like prorogue Parliament 4 times while having a majority like Chretien did. If you have a majority, you have no reason to prorogue Parliament, but let's not let facts get in our way.

The MSM has been especially supportive of the dying Liberals, as the MSM itself dies. I find this very appropriate for the lefties these days. Let me be very clear that the lefties are: Liberals, NDP, Greens, the MSM, they are all "fools on the hill".

Another Beatles song bites the opposition on the a$$! HA!

It would seem to me that Opposition MPs would be a great deal more productive if they stayed in their ridings and re-introduced themselves to their constituents, than milling around the water-cooler in Parliament.

They should be careful, because Canadians don't have much tolerance for "stunts".

As for dialling in from Europe to complain about Parliament being "shut down", just who does he think he is impressing here. Didn't he pull the same trick in the summer, holding a teleconference to tell his staff they had to work harder ? I'm not sure who is stupider - Ignatieff, or the people that put up with this sort of treatment.

So let me get this straight. Ignatieff is bad because he went on holidays. But Harper is good for doubling the length of the holiday, and Ignatieff is bad for wanting to come back from holidays as originally planned.

Let the CPC MPs hang around their ridings for this extended holiday, they will be constantly pestered by unemployed people wondering why someone with a job won't go and do it.

The Liberals can do most of the groundwork for their Montreal conference ahead of time.

Let Harper and crew sip lattes at the Olympics, and try to bask in the Olympic glow even though they weren't in power when it was awarded. After all, Richard Nixon got to telephone the astronauts on the moon, and look where it got him!

Agreed the extreme leftists in the media and on Facebook group have failed to mobilize any REAL action since 2006.

The ballot box and donations have not improved for the leftists.

The deathspiral of the liberals has been taking place since 2000. The regressives have just been divided up amongst the four parties.

I have a few graphs on the General Elections from 2000-2008.

Heard on the news tonight that roads in France are impassable, so what if iggy gets stuck in France.
And someone said Layton is practicing holding his breath under water. Think of the CO2 he is not emitting. Perhaps that is his answer to global warming.
Are all the mps staff on holiday also, or are they at work in Ottawa. Inquiring minds want to know.
And the PM is working in his office while iggy holidays in France.

Okay LS, we better see NO LIBERAL MP's at the Olympics because they are working so hard in Ottawa, not their ridings.

And lattes are a Liberal thingy, Conservatives are more likely to sit back with a beer. (oh and popcorn)!

I'm sure some will attend some or all of the Olympics. You won't be too outraged if they take weekends off will you? The Olympics is 11 working days out of 27 working days that the CPC has delayed. What about the other 16 days (3 working weeks and a day)? You're going to excuse it as if they are busy in their ridings? Isn't 5 weeks from Dec 16 to Jan 25 enough? You've got to be kidding.

And lattes are a Liberal thingy, Conservatives are more likely to sit back with a beer. (oh and popcorn)!
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Actually I've never had a latte, and never known anyone else to. Timmies sells them, don't they? So in other words, returning to Parliament on time would cut into the CPC MPs' boozing time? Okey dokey!

LS,

Clearly people don't support the Liberals.

1) Can't pay back $ 34 Million Adscam
2) Leadership Debts Million?
3) GST overpayments Millions

The baliffs should be called in to seize assets from this morally and financially bankrupt party.

PS. Waldo your time is up!

Yes, they do not have 100% support. Is that your point?

1) Can't pay back $ 34 Million Adscam.
Please check with BT Central. The amount is $200 million isn't it? It changes all the time.

When do we get the $300 million for the election where Harper broke his own fixed dates law? He did not lose a confidence vote requiring an election, therefore he broke his own law. When do we get the money back?

2) Leadership Debts Million?
You're talking about paperwork for the 2006 convention right? The campaign spending rules are intended to keep things fair. Money borrowed from others has to be repaid in a certain time, so that rich people can't simply buy candidates. It's not like Revenue Canada is owed any money. There doesn't appear to be any inclination among the Liberals to invalidate their own convention, so where is the problem?

3) GST overpayments Millions.
You'll have to be more specific.

The baliffs should be called in to seize assets from this morally and financially bankrupt party.
Sure chum. We still have due process, thank you very much. After four years, why hasn't the CPC found any smoking gun? Only some crooked underlines, and they were already known. You seem obsessed with destroying the Liberal party, by means other than simply coming up with a better alternative and decimating them in elections. That's because you can't.

PS. Waldo your time is up!
I haven't heard the "Waldo" meme, could you copy it from your talking point fax please so we can all read it?
I think Steve is the one whose time as PM is up.

LS,

Slow day in Narnia?

The fact you can't understand my post, is your problem.

The reality of the Liberal party becoming obsolete and joining other political parties in the dustbin is still your problem.

Liberals have been in denial for years.

If you are too lazy, incompetent, dense it is still your problem.

Do your own research on your pathetic party.

It is very obvious that someone has not been following the news. Leadership debts have not been repaid, and the 18 month extension given by election canada has passed. The conservatives had to go to court to get elections canada to take their check of around 500,000 for overpayment of gst. Liberals haven't done it.
Fixed election date for Majority govt. Just think, if PM Martin had not been so sure he could increase the majority JC got, he wouldn't have needed to call an election 2 yrs early, (and waste 300 million, so I guess you could call us even) and go from majority to minority to opposition.
Perhaps iggy will find his spine if he is body scanned returning from France and vote no confidence in March. Then we will see who has the support.
