Prorogue, Let's Count!

We have heard it's 4 months, or 2 months but who really has counted the days? I have, and I have the calendar's to prove it. This is part of the video that is coming.

Count the days:

Christmas break 32 working days
Olympic break 11 working days
Prorogue 17 working days

Yes, only 17 days not 4 months. So I ask you, what are the opposition so upset about?

Could it be that they want to cover up the fact that Liberal leadership candidates from way back in the Dion race, still have not paid off their loans?

Could it be that they realize that they are about to lose their dominant position in the Senate and might have to pay attention to how they vote from now on?

Funny how the opposition have spun the coalition as a legitimate option for Canadians, but think proroguing Parliament is somehow undemocratic. It has been done 105 times before but because this time it's the Conservatives doing it, it's undemocratic.

The MSM is no better, CTV has 30 seconds of PM Harper talking and 13 MINUTES of Iggy, now that's fair and balanced. They also supplemented that 13 minutes with various experts making the Liberal time even more prevalent. Stop going to CTV, CBC, GlobalTV and all papers you disagree with, stop giving them "hits". Advertisers base their ad placement on "hits" so go over to the National Post multiple times in a day, and do not feed the other media outlets. Boycott bad and biased journalism.

Great stuff. That line that Jack N said in the movie, fits the media perfectly and the coalition party, YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

Since when has the Olympic Games become a paid holiday? Sheesh...

I've responded to the talking points as follows:

Prorogation: So if the liberals are opposed to prorgation what other constitutional changes are they proposing?
or
Am I to believe that the liberals are now promising to eliminate the use of prorogation, just like they promised to do away with the GST?

Afghanistan: So am I to believe that if something remiss is going on in Afghanistan, why did certain liberal MP's support extending the mission in 2006.
or
If the liberals are so sure there was abuse going on why didn't Paul Martin have our troops pulled out of Afghanistan instead of placing them in a combat role?

Great, the media are responsible for hiding the dates. The media are refusing to use the proper amount of days for prorogue they insist it is a two-four months time off.

I updated my last post and hope the it helps direct some hits to you!

Hunter, excellent post! Nothing like getting to the truth. Truth and facts are always the best weapon and always wins in the end.
It's really pathetic when citizen journalists have to do the work that the so called professional ones won't. I refuse to pay attention to those so called professional journalists anymore. You can't believe a word they say anyway so why bother.

Okay, I am with you. I used to watch CTV a bit and visit G&M sometimes. However, I agree with you Hunter. The more hits they get, the more ad power goes to them.
I will stick mainly with National Post from now on.
I am sending this post to friends so they do the same.

Since when has the Olympic Games become a paid holiday?

Since all parties (including the opposition) voted for it.

You must buy your Kleenex in bulk at Costco, what with you trademark snivelling. Or do you, L.S. and Gayle get together and buy it by the pallet directly from the manufacturer?

Sheesh.....

Maybe those in the media are using that calendar that predicts the end of the world in 2012.
Maybe the libs are spinning the dates to get closer to qualifying for a pension.
OT, but Moose and Squirrel has a great video of how most people signing a petition will sign anything. The guy is getting people to sign a petition asking for inflation to go up 100% and 100%/yr for the next five years.

Hunter, I think I mentioned the wrong blog re the video on the petition, as I can't find it. All I can remember is the blog has a yellow background. And I saw it early this am. Could be withdrawal symptems setting in, as cbc/ctv have not been on my tv for almost four day.

It's not about the vacation, it's about the torture coverup, stupid (to coin a phrase).

I'm thinking you could photoshop a nice picture of Steve in the Bata Museum picking shoes to be used in Canada's New Torture Chambers after the majority.

Hahahahahahahahaha!

Since the Liberal MP's are going to vacation in Ottawa on 25 Jan, *we* should arrange to visit or call every Liberal MP's riding office that day and demand to speak to the member.

If the member isn't there, *we* can loudly complain the Liberals are avoiding constituents, voters and taxpayers to every media outlet in sight. After all, if Parliament isn't in session they should be available to do constituency work.

Could be fun....

LS,

Just because you say xxx it does not mean we have to buy your version of reality.

The Liberals have a very shameful record in regards to the use of prorogue, public inquiries and cover up's.

Tainted Blood, CSL, Shawingate, Somalia, Adscam and APEC..13 dark years of Liberals.

Thucy, that's a great idea, if there were any Liberal MP's here in Alberta, I'd be right on it. I could call up the NDP MP but she is so concerned about the environment that I am sure she is walking to Ottawa right now!

MP's care about their constituents, so flood the phones, and go visit the office, see if anyone is home.
