It was fun, it was electric. PM Harper, up close and personal, rocked. Barn burner? Yup. So much for the lefty papers stating that Alberta was feeling ignored. Alberta Conservatives are more mature than that, they know who the "one" really is.
Was anyone complaining about the long lines and the long wait? Not one single person that I heard in the lineup was upset. I did suggest that we should have snaked the lineup through the bar, it would have made the wait more enjoyable. HA!

A strong mandate? Would that be, dare I say it a MAJ..., okay, not going to tempt the .....voters. Will Loopy May throw her voters to the Liberals? Seeing as the greens are a protest vote, who cares what May does. Personally after seeing PM Harper up close, after being in the room, not just watching it on CPAC or CTV, Harper rocked Edmonton.
God Bless Canada is back in his closing. That is an in your face ending, meant to upset all the lefty latte sipping, supposed intellectuals, who think Suzuki is their god. It made me happy. Out of all the chatter, I noticed that, and the singing of "Oh Canada", it was important. It suggests to me that he understands the grass roots of the party, the law abiding people that just want to raise their kids and live a good, respectful, happy life, without fear.

Hey Alberta Girl - how's it going. I see that a Gayle clone has invaded this site, as well. All riiiight. Comic relief. Hmmm - white trash - I wonder if I fit into that category. I don't drink so I don't get "likkered up". And, I don't live in Edmonton. Nope, I'll have to pass on being white trash although I hear that it's the 'in' thing to be. Okay, so much for humour.
I am not surprised that Harper was well-received. He handles himself admirably no matter what the situation. He is unflappable and he is incredibly rational and logical.
I'm happy to see that Canadians can see through the bashing that he is receiving from his opposition. I have long believed that when a weak person or party runs out of logical or intelligent input, he/she or they resort to bashing. I think we had this one in our pocket before we even left the gate.

I just watched your Harper and Dion unscripted video and I have a serious bone to pick with you, buddy. I think it is downright negligent of you to not put up a warning to those of us who are consuming beverages to put them down before watching the video. Do you know what it feels like to snort coffee through your nose because you couldn't hold back the laugh long enough to swallow first? I loved how Harper nailed the journalist AND Dion. And, then when Dion came on, I almost lost it. Good thing I went to do my business before I watched the video; otherwise...well, you know.
So please, show some consideration the next time and put up a warning that dangerous laughter will result from viewing the video. Thanks.

Why is it that Liberal supporters are so rude? On Liberal blogs, I see incredibly offensive remarks about Conservatives and Conservative supporters and on Conservative blogs I see Liberal supporters making the most offensive remarks. For example, Ti-Guy's crack about Alberta Girl savaging her children - whoa, that is really bad. I don't know, perhaps we Conservative supporters are a little more...oh, what's the word I'm seeking...dignified, intellectual, intelligent, logical, rational, human...I just can't think of the right word so I guess those will have to do.

Hey Hunter. Good to meet you. I hope I can be half a swordsman as Alberta Girl and MaryT are swordswomen. I can accept lefties for the misguided that they are but it's their inanities and resorting to personal attacks which really make me shake my head and wonder how such limited-scope individuals can survive. They make me feel like a father of recalcitrant children who just won't stop blurting incoherent and irrelevant blather.
Oh, and despite the garden-like name I use, I'm a 55 year-old male living in Ontario. I grew up in Winnipeg which I consider to be Eden and, thus, I am now living East of Eden. And, given my strong Christian Faith, Eden is a familiar place to me. So, it all ties in quite nicely.
Alberta Girl is one of the few who really rankles the Libs and left-wingers and I love that about her.

Just saw a picture of Edmonton on the National, cbc. Edmonton in the autumn was the title. Capitol looked great, leaves turning, streets clean and it is Saturday night and NO RIOTS.
