Straight Talk!

Some of the posters I saw tonight during McCain's speech said "Straight Talk", and that's what I think McCain did tonight. Dynamo Duo, McCain and Palin. They complement each other very well, and I can see why McCain picked Sarah, they are two peas in a pod.

Funny how Obama just seems so lack luster now. The glow is off and people are starting to see the worm. The one thing that makes me sad is that I am disappointed in Oprah. I remember watching her show years ago and she had Obama on, she was in love with him then, and she had a lot to do will him being where he is today. Funny how she didn't support Hillary. So much for the sisterhood. I haven't watched her show since she publicly supported him. Celebrities should stay out of politics, just like teachers should present opposing views of things like the environment. They have too much power and can do too much harm with that power.

I liked the speech, McCain stayed true to himself, he didn't try to be anything phony. If America chooses an empty suit over this excellent hero, I will be deeply disappointed. It would be like Canadians choosing Dion over PM Harper. Yet even here in Alberta, Liberals spout off about Conservatives, they have blinders on and a real hate of anything Conservative. They put party first and Country second.

It's time for both Americans and Canadians to put COUNTRY FIRST, not party.

I am trying hard not to do US politics but I have been very impressed with the McCain Palin duo.

So have the Americans if this MSNBC story is correct.

Noun, verb, POW.

And for Obama, it is noun, verb, . . . crickets chirping.

The crickets are cued because community organizer - is it anything more than stoking the victim class and telling people "it's not you, it's the Man keepig you (not me) down" - sort of pales beside fighting for you country and suffering for over five years as a POW.

And there are no people from the formative community organization days and the people who made BHO who he is: Wright and Ayers for example, are disappeared because the curtain was pulled back to see what these people are all about.

It is an especially weak comment when you consider that McCain spent more time in the Hanoi Hilton - almost twice as long - as Obama has been a Senator.

If being a POW qualifies one for being President, then I guess Guantanamo Bay is the training camp for the next generation of leaders in the Arab world? Just sayin'

Exactly right Southy - which is why they need to be kept there. Nice to see that you support keeping it open.

There is a story at Drudge that Oprah will not have Sarah on her show.

S.Quebec, just that it is a big story re bias. I haven't watched her show since she went glamourous a few years ago and lost all that weight. I liked her in her mumus.

Oprah has already said she supports Obama. It's a non event. No bias.
