The Secret Conservative Platform...

Coming soon to a doorstep near you, the Conservative platform....

..Win on your record!

There it is folks, in all it's glory!

Now, this is not acceptable to lefties, they don't want the Conservatives releasing a policy a day. They want everything out in the open right now, so that they can steal the platform and make it theirs. They can't stand the suspense of what the Conservatives might have up their sleeves. You see, they do not understand that good governance doesn't need a new and improved platform, good governance can stand on it's own record.

I'm sure the Conservatives have a "blue book" all ready to go, probably after the debates. When playing cards do you reveal your hand right away, like the Liberals green shift, or do you get the opposition to give you their platform, and then wait for the debates to comment/destroy their position?

Seems the Globe and Mail can't wait. Three weeks into the campaign, the Conservatives have not yet released a platform. Do they need to release one soon? Could they go the entire campaign without doing so?

Read the comments of Gerald Caplan (former NDP campaign manager), he is so far out to lunch that he thinks he's making sense, even Scott (beer and popcorn) Reid makes more sense than this guy.

First off, he is childish with his name calling:

The other was whatever the Bush neo-cons wanted it to be....
The Bushies who run the John McCain campaign - Steve Schmidt et al - have had no trouble bringing him over to the dark side....

Then, he spews pure lefty fear mongering garbage:

Do you think Stephen Harper and some of his more reprehensible henchmen aren't fully aware of what their soul-brothers down south have added to the dignity of the democratic process?

War and peace, national unity, the entire economy, child porn - all are grist for his political wiles.

How old is this guy? Well here is his picture.

Obviously he's old enough to get his point across without using slick innuendo, but not mature enough to write honestly. No wonder he has sad defeated looking eyes and his age lines are deeply ingrained frown lines. This person seems disappointed with life and blames it not on his own distorted world view, but on Conservatives, and particularly on Stephen Harper.

His last line reveals his complete lack of respect for any "reality" but his own.

Mr. Harper should beware: Sometimes real reality actually wins out.

Not your "real reality" Caplan, your reality is bashing Harper and trying to make him look like Bush, when the question was about releasing a political platform. Well, we see what the NDP platform is, through your eyes, and it isn't pretty, it is petty and mean. Your face outlines the NDP platform better than any words from used car salesman Layton!

What is with the left-wing and Liberals and their Bush obsession? Add to that the "democratic process" and "democracy" and we have a broken record. Can they not think of any real criticism? This is so tiresome. If I had been leaning to any party but the CPC (not going to happen), I would turn to the CPC because it is the only party which is not turning to unfounded and wholly stupid inanities like the Bush schtick and the democracy sctick.

You must be located out west - my comment shows as being posted at 3:18 but it's 6:18 here.

I can't say for sure, but it looks like he's wearing a somewhat worn-out hairpiece. He certainly does look unhappy and bitter about life. Probably lots of failures which, of course, are the fault of others.

Do you think Gayle was there, maybe in the polar bear suit.
She has disappeared from the blogs.

LOL - I read a couple of previous blogs and I saw your comment. What a hoot. Gayle, I think, was too busy writing a letter or something like that. She sure did disappear - that confirms my suspicions as to "her" real identity.

I have never seen Stephen Harper speak, in person, but from what I understand, not only does he have incredible intellectual presence but also physical presence. One of my colleagues met with him and told me that he is a quite imposing. Young, family man, imposing, highly intelligent, decisive, logical, commited...he is head and shoulders above the rest of the so-called leaders. He is our only choice for PM. God Bless Stephan Harper and God Bless Canada. Wait, God has already blessed our country...Harper is our Prime Minister. Thank you, God.

I was lucky enough to shake Stephen Harper's hand, alas, before he was PM, but, he has a firm handshake and looks directly at you.

I've got a crush on Stephen Harper!!! HA!!

East of Eden, glad to see you here. Yes, Hunter is in Edmonton, AG is from a small town a couple of hours south, and I come from good old southern Alberta. We have the province covered. Did a small tour of the Lethbridge riding today, say 6 conservative signs, 2 liberal and 3 NDP. That is along 60 miles of highway and around the city. Didn't count the one in my yard.

Not only is he a great speaker, but also has a great memory. I have met him on several occassions, as a Reformer, leadership contenter, leader of the opposition and as PM. At a BBQ in Leth, before the fall of the Martin govt, he spotted a long time supporter and come over and gave her a hug and his sympathy on the death of her husband 6 months before. I took pictures of that hug. Our group asked about Cadman, and he shook his head and said, he has his reasons for doing what he is doing and we will not interfer with his decisions or try to influence him. We all respected him for his answer and believed him.
One great advantage of a majority would be no more gotcha scandals from last century that are bogus.
If the predictions are true and several of the old gang of liberals will get re-elected it will just mean more time for the liberals to stay in the penalty box before they rebuild. If they do become the third party, will PMSH refer to Dion as the leader of the tird party aka Chretain. I would love for them to lose party status in the HofC. Can't wait for the debates and watch PMSH ever so nicely make dion mad and see him lose his temper.

Welcome Tori(Torian)!

Maryt, awesome that you have had such contact with the PM.

Let's think about that. Even after 2 1/2 years of Conservative rule, Liberals still think it was just a one time slap on the wrist and they would be back in power in no time.

They are so arrogant that they thought we were voting AGAINST them, not FOR the Conservatives. That arrogance is going to send them into the wilderness this election.

We Conservatives might finally get our heads around the fact that PM Harper is our PM, and hopefully he will be again after this election.

Lizzy denies she told Greens to vote strategically!
Lizzy says she knows strategic voting doesn't work:

I wonder why so many people are afraid to phone their MP or MLA or any Minister to ask questions or advise on how to solve a problem. More should do it, they do have very pleasant secretaries and will get you to the right dept. But do not expect instant results. It is amazing how many depts one must go thru to solve a problem.
Most importantly, get out and vote Oct 14. I will be voting Oct 6th in the advance poll.
Think I will visit TT and see what Gayle is up to.

I sure hope that PM Harper gets his majority.

He sure does deserve it.

Maybe then there will be some stability in parliament for a while.
They can get a lot of good things done actually reforming the senate and the providing choice for the farmers.

MaryT - what is TT? I want to go and see what arrogance and condescention Gayle is up to and take a few cracks at showing her the right way - Harper's way. I would dearly love to see Harper speak in person - man, that guy is incredible - and so young. When I was fresh out of university in 1978, I packed up my 1974 Vega, left Winnipeg and headed to Calgary to begin my career. I loved living in Alberta; it was so vibrant, it was tax-free and, as a man of faith, I loved being in the Bible pocket. I could barely afford to eat but I loved every second - funny how we were able to live on nothing when we were young. My work took me east to Montreal for 6 years and then I moved west to Ontario. When I lived in Calgary, I was not able to afford to get up to Edmonchuck but I surely wanted to - I missed the Ukranian food that I enjoyed while growing up in Winnipeg. I made cabbage rolls yesterday and cannot wait for supper tonight.

God bless Stephen Harper and may God bless us again on October 15.

A while ago I also asked what TT was. Trusty Tory, used to be DBT. Great blog, along with this one.
