How They Have Grown!

We have seen our Prime Minister's hair get noticeably grayer, and his weight go up and down, but let's look at what Ben and Rachel have been up to.

Here they are greeting their father during the 2006 campaign. They are so young.

Here they are celebrating the 2006 win with their Mom and Dad:

Look at what they have been up to lately...growing up! This is just before they met the Pope. I suspect Ben and Rachel fight just like any siblings, but Ben will take special care of his sister, which probably drives her nuts!

Ben is taller than his Mom now. Both my boys are taller than me, one by more than a foot!

They are growing up right in front of our eyes. What we see from the Harper family are well adjusted kids growing up just like our kids. We can identify with the Harper family.

This photo is outstanding, look at it closely:

PM Harper naturally holds out his hand and both ladies just as naturally reach for it. This photo tells the tale about our PM. He is a strong person that women will reach out for because they understand when someone offers them a safe haven. Every time you see the PM with his daughter Rachel, he is holding her hand...this will change soon, so he should enjoy it while he can.

Make no mistake, Laureen is no pushover cupcake. She is the force behind our PM. I think she out feminists the feminists.

She is a lady of many talents. She is responsible for PM Harper singing and showing his talented side. She is the anchor behind our PM and the Harper family.

How the Harper family has grown since 2006, it has been a pleasure watching them grow.

Oh, one final comment, keep PM Harper out of brown. I think that every time I see him wearing brown. Brown makes him look frumpy. With his beautiful blue eyes, keep him in dark blue and black.

After he teaches 'em a lesson! And all the other left wing fringe groups too! HA!

"Keep PM Harper out of brown"

What a card you are Huntsy. Just tell him to stop stepping in it.

What a great piece, Hunter. It's nice to ramp up the humanity of the PM. Those of us that have taken the time to research, pay close and HONEST attention, know that he is indeed a brilliant and kind man.
As well, I have always thought that pictures expressing the dynamics of a family speak volumns as they are generally candid and offer a window into the soul.

As for the brown, I'm a color freak too but I definately don't mind it at all. In this case, he has spiced it up with a cobalt blue shirt so I suspect that in person, his eyes would have been enhanced rather nicely.

A great set of photo,s of a great Prime Minister and his family. As always some mystereeoso,s will be jealous and make negative comments.Nothing wrong with pointing out the truth for all to see,but some people cannot handle the truth.PM Harper is a fine man,a great Prime Minister and a great father and husband.Under scrutiny all the time by most of the sick, lame and lazy MSM ,they just don,t have the honesty to show PM Harper in a good light, but try to drag him down to the lowest level of the Liberals. It just isn,t working, and more and more Canadians are finally beginning to realize what a fine PM we have here in Canada. And may i add,Canada is one of the last countries to find this out, because the world has known this man as one of the most honest and smart leaders of the world for some time now.Thank goodness at this time in our history,we have a leader like PM Harper.God bless him and his family and thank you for the great photo,s of the man and his family that few Canadians really get to see.

Great post and pictures of our PM and his family.
OT, and early for FNF but if you can get a copy of the cartoon in the Lethbridge Herald today re the lineups for the H1N1 it is funny.
Huge lineup, sign pointing to clinic, one man turns to a very old guy, with cane, and says, why are you here, this isn't for the elderly. Man answers, when I got in line I wasn't elderly.
Back on topic, have there ever been any pics of iffy with his family.

Met PMSH in the late '80s and was very impressed at that time. Been 20 years of knowing that PM Harper is a great person and would be / is a great leader.

Canadians are most fortunate (even Mysty-Sue).

I don't often comment here, but I'll tell you the reason people might make fun of you for this.

Simply put, the fact that you would never say anything remotely as gushy for a left-leaning family, and the fact that you clearly offer only backhanded, implied denigration of said families, makes the whole thing sound even stranger. Frankly, it comes across as somewhat creepy and "stalky" - as I say, especially given it's myopic perspective.

I should add that everyone here seems to make the mistake of conflating his family life and your perceptions of it, with his qualifications of a national leader, and your perceptions of that. That is also pretty strange.

No, David, you're the one who's pretty strange. Everyone else is on the same page here.

Sure jad, but only because it takes 200 comments before blogger creates a second page of comments.

I recall being surprised by how gray Mulroney went with just a few years in office. Seems to be part of the job.

David, could that possibly be because most of her readers think alike, as do most conservative women, and men.
We think if a man has respect and love for his wife and children and treats them well, he will do the same for his country.
On the other hand, if a man has no respect for his wife and children, and family, and throws them under the bus, he will do the same with his country. Think Iffy and his brother.

Think Iffy and his brother.
What a silly comparison. You're talking about teenage boys at Upper Canada College. Most parents of close in age boys think there is something wrong with them if they don't fight, bicker and pretend not to know each other. You've never seen the "no idiots allowed" sign on a teenage boy's door, usually with "this means you, ___" written on it? No boy likes having to explain what their dumb brother does, yet woe betide anyone who actually threatens one's brother.

Of course as adults brothers are invariably good friends, like Iggy and his brother Andrew.

We never hear anything about Stephen Harper's two younger brothers. They are not even named in his wikipedia page. Perhaps they still act like normal teenagers? Except it is less normal for middle aged men.

No...creepy pretty much describes this post. Gushing uncontrollably over kids you never met is...what's the word? Ya...creepy will have to do.

This was embarrassing...I am embarrassed for you...

Wow. Looks like Robert Peter John Day's loyal footsoldiers really have nothing to do today.

So sad, children. So sad.

Talk about double standard. A Catholic Priest, with 15+ years in the navy has been kicked out. His crime, praying in the name of Jesus, while outside a Chapel while in uniform.
Well if it is the story that dodo had, he is not a Roman Catholic priest, he is an evangelical Protestant chaplain. But that's just a minor detail.
He was court-martialed for wearing his uniform at a news conference as part of a political protest. And it happened in 2006, when he was protesting policies of the Bush administration. Yes he was praying at the protest, it was a protest about praying, and he was given direct orders not to wear his uniform except at bona fide worship services.

Do you understand why having military people attend political protests in full uniform is a bad thing? It looks exactly like mutiny, though he was only charged with insubordination.

See what I meant about your slant? Contrast this with your reaction to the guy with the million dollars undeclared at the border, the penalty for not declaring is a mere fine, since there is no tax required on importing cash, only reporting for tracking money laundering.

Maybe it's my trolls who are creepy. You can't look at some pictures of a normal family, without thinking creepy things about them, now that is the creepy part.

Patrick Ross said...

Well, Hunter, you have to remember that these sycophants are essentially the unpaid servants of Robert Peter John Day.

We all remember the scope of his creepiness as it pertainted to Richard Evans' kids.

He's a staaaaaaaaaaaaaalker...
