Can't Resist Posting This One!

Hey, I know it isn't Friday, but this is too funny.

Now, I'm off to deliver Elliott to his autistic boy. It's hard to give them up but the people they go to need them so much more than we do.

I have finally convinced my hubby that we need two greyhounds (rescued) as our family pets, so the hunt is now on for the perfect ones for our family. The greyhound is one of the most regal, quiet, low maintenance dogs you could every get. It will make giving up the assistance dogs a little easier.

Why are you leaving DWW?

Why didn't you keep Rigger?

I'm not leaving DWW. Rigger was failed out and we couldn't keep him because he would have been at home alone all day, not the best for a dog who is used to being around people constantly. A young firefighter who runs 5 km a day took him and they are doing great.

We can have two greyhounds and a DWW. Greyhounds are great at lounging around all day sleeping, so two will mean they can keep each other company while the DWW is at school and we are at work.

Interesting talking to the couple who is getting Elliott. They sold their home in Ontario and moved to Alberta, without jobs just to they could get the help they needed for their then 3 year old son. They waited two years to get a dog and were thrilled with Elliott. Good luck to them and their now 5 year old son.

What kind of dog is Rigger? Is that breed a problem to be alone at home all day (as opposed to greyhounds)?
