Do The Shuffle, The Cabinet Shuffle!

Okay, we all understand that another cabinet shuffle is coming...so speak up for your favorite MP, make your case, maybe someone in the government will be listening. Here's a few mentioned by Jane Taber.

Now, I find it really interesting that she would mention James Rajotte, my MP! He has been flying under the radar, sitting as the Chairman of the Industry Committee, one of the last functioning committees on the Hill. Maybe one more Alberta MP can be squeezed in, but I'm not holding my breath.

Of course, I also like James Moore and Jason Kenney, all are young, and have shown their maturity. Let's get Diane Ablonczy a better position, and let's shift Rona into a higher profile position. Monte would be good at Foreign Affairs, he's a great communicator.

Now, looking at my choices, it appears I have a western bias, so why don't some of you easterners stick up for your favorites!

Let's see how close we can get to the cabinet shuffle.

James Moore for sure!

He is young, bright, and loyal. He would be good in any Ministry the PM needed him in.

Jane Taber is the kiss of death. Names she mentions will never make it to Cabinet. Rajotte will never get as long as Rona is sitting pretty (which is all she does, apparently).

James Moore will also not make it because Lunn & Emerson are both in, and Hill is next in line. Kenney will not make it because you can't have 3 MPs from the same city in Cabinet, and Prentice will never make a senior portfolio because the PM is from his next door riding.

Cannon will be F/Minister because he looks like a diplomat, bilingual, and error free. Hill will move into Transport, probably.

I think Rona got a bad rap, funny how what she proposed is exactly what Baird is implementing!

Look for a Quebec MP to either get a higher profile post or a one for one replacement. Don't know who is who from PQ. Doubt there will be an increase of western members maybe some small switch to balance out the male/female ratio or the AB/BC/SK numbers. No changes from the Maritimes (McKay might get a lateral move).

I would look for a 1 person increase from Ontario. PMSH likes a smaller cabinet. He needs to hit the campaign trail in Ontario and Quebec with a strong regional cabinet.

Forgot to add that Giggles Taber will be glued to her stool at Hys until this is over. She won't want to miss a timbit ... oops the conservatives don't dine at Hys.

Did you watch QP today? Pretty rough go for the government. Van Loan looked like he couldn't keep on defending the indefensible.

Another nail in the heart of this amateur act.

I still say Peter McKay back to Foreign Affairs and Laurie Hawn to Defense.

Anon 6:50, Wait, my version of QP will show the real truth, not your warped version. It will show the opposition for what they are, tabloid type opportunists. Should appear after your Mom has tucked you into bed though!

Jane and Oliver will just add them to their Sun. QP "JERRS" anyway. My pick would be James Moore....he's more than capable, and wouldn't hesitate putting the blood sucking Liberals and media in their place.

I would like to the see the real talent in the cabinet further apart from regional considerations (was Maxime Bernier promoted partly becasue he was from Quebec?)
If that means James Moore and Jason Kenney have a place at the cabinet table despite current BC/Alberta mininsters so be it - they are already go-to guys when public speaking is required (although cabinet posts might limit thier ability in this area)
Also, should we be glad to see David Emerson in a real high profile position like foreign affairs? Will the media treat his controversy as dead? Are you comfortable with a former Liberal in the first, second, or third most prominent portfolio? Finally, does Harper need to shuffle the Health minister etc.. around (ctv article) - I hope each cabinet minister has a deep grasp on thier porfolios so as to limit future gaffes and incompetance - particularly during or leading up to an election.

ZING!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I am glad you have taken off the kid gloves when dealing with these cowardly communists/Liberals as they have no respect for anyone or anything.

What about Michael Fortier for Foreign Affairs ? Quebec would get to keep a senior portfolio, it would likely help him to get elected in the next election, and it would REALLY piss off the media and the opposition.

I think Joe Comuzzi would be a good choice to take on some portfolio. At the very least, FEDNOR should be removed from the Minister of Health (Tony Clement) and given to Comuzzi. Comuzzi treats all four North West Ontario ridings like his own now (being the only government member). He recently convinced the Prime Minister to visit several of the small towns in the region, and he was instrumental in the town of Dryden (which is in the riding of Kenora, not Thunder Bay Superior North, which is his riding), recieving federal infastructure money to build a wastewater treatment plant that the town of Dryden had been trying to secure for almost 5 years!

He'd probably make a good minister of transport too (no offense to Cannon, who could probably be promoted to another portfolio).

I know! We seem to be running out of talented MP's. Look at the Liberal front-bench... the difference in quality is a little embarrassing. They have three doctors, two PhD's and two former premiers sitting up front.

We have... Maxime and Rona. It's not looking good.
