We keep on hearing about how women don't like the Conservatives, so, let me clue you in. The best Canadian blogger, Kate at Small Dead Animals, just happens to be a Conservative woman. Joanne, at Blue Like You, just happens to be a Conservative woman blogger. Then we have Sandy at Crux of the Matter, and NB Tory Lady, and the Girl in Blue, Joan Tintor, Five feet of fury, Conservative Queen, and many others. You can add to the list in comments, I'm sorry if I've missed anyone, but I suspect they can handle it, being Conservative women.
So, what is a Conservative woman? Glad you asked.
A few months ago I took my 15 year old son to hear PM Harper speak. We were waiting for him to make his appearance and a little old lady with a walker was waiting too. I started talking to her, she was amazing. While her husband was working, she found a house and bought it. This lady was no shrinking violet. She did what was needed, and never looked back. She is a perfect example of how our country was born. Tough women.
We constantly hear that the Conservatives lack the female vote, and I agree. We do lack the female vote, but we also lack the vote of wet noodles. Strong women will identify with the Conservatives, wet noodles will vote for any lefty party that promises them eternal welfare. They don't care that their children will suffer, they have no self respect, and can't cope with life.
Conservative women are not wet noodles, they are charming but direct. They are tough until you talk about their children, then they are mush. They have their heads on straight, they know that global warming is BS. Conservative women help real people in real need, they don't write a paper about it. They get their hands "dirty".
Conservative women are straight shooting, no nonsense women who don't just talk about something, they DO it. I am proud to be identified as a Conservative woman, I have never lost a fight (Okay I've never actually been in one!), I have never backed down from a problem, and I rule my house by gentle persuasion not fear. But I do rule.
Conservative women, take a bow.
Now can we stop with the male/female thingy?
